Orlando International sees 1.6% increase in traffic

Passenger traffic for 2011 was up nearly 1.6 percent, thanks in large part to a record total of more than 3.5 million international travelers for the year.

Domestic traffic was up almost 1 percent with 31,923,422 passengers. International traffic was up 7.91 percent, bringing total passenger traffic for the year to 35,426,006. once again, the United Kingdom was the largest international market for OIA, with more than 575,000 travelers. Brazil made the largest increase in volume at a 47 percent increase.
